Cassina and ECAL collaborated to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Maralunga sofa, designed for the Italian brand by Vico Magistretti. During my Master program I developed new sofa project based on this icon’s chassis. The «Maramao Sofa» replaces the standard backrest by a large and comfortable cushion that can be bent around your body. This flexibility is ensured by readapting the existing mechanism of the Maralunga.
